Start Here!!!

You know those giant cheapo "classics" collections of DVD's that you used to see all over the place? You could get 50 movies for $20 or something stupid like that. We are talking about REAL quality movies here. They were mostly public domain winners, made for TV wonders and forgotten relics of an age LONG gone.

For some reason these collections were absolutely irresistible to me and I bought A BUNCH of them. I wouldn't actually invest a bunch of time in actually *watching* these movies, but boy the collections were piling up. Horror, sci-fi, martial arts, sleazy drive in, mystery, etc etc...All stuff I enjoy and was truly interested in. The problem was that I bought pretty much every one I came across, and not really make a dent in the ever growing collection. Sure I would watch a few here and there, but it became pretty obvious that if I was ever going to actually watch all these gems I was going to need a system.

So I decided I'd watch them in alphabetical order. 

AND I decided to write a 17syllable poem (technically not a haiku, but sorta like one) for each movie. Not really a review or anything, just a short little poem in honor of the short bit of time I spent watching the glorious piece of cinema in question.

AND, AND...I decided to document the process....as a blog.

So here it is...The Crusty Old Movie Project!!!! 

I might post further thoughts on these films in the comments, and I'd love to hear your impressions on the films!
